The project comes first.
Fox Energy Partners develops domestic oil and gas prospects and provides accredited investors the opportunity to participate directly in selected projects.
Our business starts with the fundamentals of energy development: the acreage, the geology, the people, the plan and the work required to bring a well into production.
We believe the project comes first.
The investment structure comes after.
Oil and gas first.
Fox Energy is an energy development company at its core.
We evaluate prospects, assemble the technical and operating resources required to develop them, and structure select projects for participation by accredited investors.
We do not begin by creating an investment product and then looking for something to put inside it.
We begin with the project.
If the location, development plan, people and economics make sense, then we determine how the opportunity should be structured.
Good development starts with good judgment.
Oil and gas is a business of decisions.
Where to drill.
Who to work with.
How to structure the well.
What to spend.
When to move forward.
When to walk away.
- 01
Know the Ground
Understand where you are drilling and why the location deserves consideration.
- 02
Know the People
Operators, geologists, land professionals, contractors and field personnel all influence execution.
- 03
Know the Plan
A prospect should have a practical path from acreage to drilling, completion and production.
- 04
Know the Economics
Development costs, ownership and production assumptions need to make sense before potential tax benefits or returns enter the conversation.
- 05
Know the Responsibility
If the well is successful, drilling day is only the beginning.
No two prospects are exactly alike, but our approach remains consistent.
From prospect to production.
Fox Energy works across the development cycle.
Prospect Evaluation
Identify and evaluate oil and gas development opportunities that warrant further work.
Project Development
Coordinate the geology, lease position, well planning, contractors and operating requirements necessary to move a prospect forward.
Investment Structuring
Create a defined participation structure around selected projects for qualified investors.
Drilling & Completion
Coordinate the work required to take a proposed well from location to completed asset.
Production & Operations
Remain involved after first production through field operations, maintenance, accounting and investor reporting.

Understandable development.
Fox Energy does not need every prospect to be the biggest project in the basin.
We would rather understand what we are working with.
That generally means established producing areas, practical drilling programs and projects where the surrounding activity provides useful context for the next well.
There is always uncertainty in drilling.
The job is not to pretend otherwise.
The job is to decide which risks are worth taking.

Founder & Managing Partner

Jason Gilbert
Jason Gilbert leads Fox Energy Partners and the development of its oil and gas prospects.
His experience includes private investments, domestic energy development and prior involvement in Kansas oil projects.
At Fox, he is directly involved in evaluating prospects, assembling the operating team, structuring projects and overseeing development.
The work continues after the rig leaves.
A successful well has to be operated.
Production must be monitored. Equipment has to be maintained. Field decisions have to be made. Costs have to be managed. Investors have to be kept informed.
That responsibility can continue for years.
Fox Energy approaches each project with that longer view.
The goal is not simply to drill a well.
The goal is to develop an asset worth operating.
Independent energy development. Direct investor participation.
We develop domestic oil and gas prospects for investors who want a closer connection to the assets behind their capital.
